KITCHENER—Shannondale Developments, a Toronto-based Development company, has been working towards completing the approvals required for a proposed 8-story residential building in Kitchener’s Innovation District.
To continue the development approval process, Shannondale Developments has applied to the City of Kitchener’s Committee of Adjustments seeking a minor variance to the Zoning By-law to allow a reduction in the number of parking spaces required by the City.
The proposal is for a reduction of 10 parking spaces (from 120 to 110 parking spaces).
In addition, they have applied for a minor variance to allow a reduced side yard setback. That would mean an exterior side yard of 5.0m instead of the required 5.8m.
The meeting is to take place Tuesday, 15 August 2023, at 10 am. If approved, the Mount Hope Breithaupt Park Neighbourhood will be one step closer to seeing the development proceed.
